Ground
Pounding is what we call a search mission. The areas
that we work in are mountains, rivers and the urban wilderness
interface. Mounted (on horse) people are valuable in
the search mission as well as are search dogs and ATV’s.
Swift
Water Rescue not only involves getting people safely
out of the water but also searching for people and evidence
in or along the edge of lakes, ponds or rivers.
And
for those areas that we can't walk, ride, float or swim to: We climb.
High
and Low to High Angle Rope Rescue is to reach people
in exposed areas and then transport them to safety with
the use of ropes.
Mission
Command is what ties this all together. Team personnel
are trained to run each type of mission and keep the
paper work under control.
Team
members are not required to qualify for all missions. There
can be and is some specialization. Not everybody wants to
jump off a cliff or go swimming. And sometimes people only
desire to help out at mission Command.
